Westfield Juniors have been busy fundraising for The Childrens’ Liver Disease Foundation by taking part in “Big Yellow Friday”. Children were asked to wear something yellow and bring in a donation. They managed to raise over £150. They have also participated in Sport Relief by wearing sporty clothes and again donating to the charity. For World Book Day, they dressed up as adjectives with costumes including sporty, deflated, blue and sleepy.

World Book Day has been celebrated by schools all over the country this week. Children from Hawksworth CE Primary School were involved in a range of reading activities and then finished off the day with a “bedtime story” so staff and children dressed up in pyjamas and onesies to listen to the story.
