We have had a wonderful week during our "Marine Life and Conservation" art exhibition which was held as part of the Tales Told Festival of community events at Guiseley Theatre. All 12 of our schools took the theme and worked hard with their children to use their imaginations and produce some wonderful artwork. The children loved seeing their work on display and visitors to the exhibition were very impressed with the range of ideas and work that had been produced.
Schools also attended workshops which we held over the week. These were run by sixth form art students from both Guiseley and Benton Park School. They worked with the primary children to paint fish. The children really enjoyed making the prints and the older students did a great job in demonstrating and assisting them to make their work.
